good evening, why can i only add a link to photos stored on flickr is there a way of displaying them on a post rather than just the link?

I use photobucket but it should be the same.  You can display them in a post by using the lower left icon that says INSERT IMAGE when you click on it which gives you an image in the post.  You position the cursor between the [ img ] and the [ /img ] and paste a copy of the link between them as shown:

This is a picture taken at about 1800 feet above the Grand River west of Hamilton, Ontario as we make a hard right turn to follow the river northbound in a 1942 Stearman.  The thing that looks like a black klaxon horn at the top of the picture is a venturi that powers the turn-and-bank indicator.
