Title: Stutter Pedal
Post by: ragtime8922 on September 07, 2017, 04:43:51 PM
Hi all. Took a few years off and just getting back in to FX again. Getting my electronics out of storage this weekend.

Did anyone ever make a stutter pedal? I saw RG's schematic but nobody ever built it as far as I know. Between EVH installing a momentary switch on his guitars and me killing my toggles to get this effect I think it's time to put a pedal together with an adjustable rate. Thoughts?

Do you mean a chopper? A tremolo that can 100% cut the volume.

Yes, exactly. Any thoughts on which one?

Read further in and you should find the Duck_Arse version.

Have to say, I think regular chopping by LFO sounds to me more like sequencing than stutter. Maybe if the bypass switch was momentary rather than latching, you could certainly use it to stutter.
