Title: Whats a substitute for BC547 BC557?

    Is there a sub?  Maybe a 2N----, And if so what about pin out?

BC547 is generic medium gain npn. Use a 2N5088 or 2N5089.
BC557 is complimentary pnp (to the BC547). Use a 2N5087.

Unless you need higher gain, you could use a 2N3904 npn and a 2N3906 pnp.

Whats it for ?
