Where can I find these things?
I find my lovetone clones in hammond boxes are becoming pedalboard bullies, they tell all the other pedals where to be. So I want some boxes with that vintage angle part, so there's easy access to the knobs and footswitches, and then the mess of cables goes in back. especially great when the pedal has a send/return loop. (and I also love how fully patched up moogerfoogers kinda look to me like the pedal has a mullet hairstyle).
Let's say price is no object, I still can't find anything like these pedals. I found just one type of vintagey-angle box in the mouser catalog but it was ABS plastic material, I think it ought to be metal for shielding purposes. (side note: Are the lovetone boxes ABS at all? Ive never touched a real one, but if they are ABS this might allow for more expression pedal controls with a passive volume pedal and stereo jack)

and while on the topic, I think I'd settle for something like the vintage roland boxes. It looks like the best possible way to have a pedal with multiple footswitches, where you won't accidentally step on the pots or rotary switches.

wow thats it!! thank you! somehow I had it in my head "Hammond" only referred to the MXR style enclosures. the keyword now is "sloped" ...the 1456 models with 15 degree slopes look exactly like interfax harmonic percolators.

I find that the 1591 T series is very nice for showing off ...
the 1554 CL series is good for showing off too .
1591 in that blue looks awesome !
1599 is completely sloped but it's all plastic :icon_mrgreen:
1453 series and the 511-513, 516 & 518 series is good for a power supply , although i think the 1453 was used on the rangemaster .
The 500, 515 & 519 series is awesome for small to medium sized projects ( still larger then a 1590 )
I still think the 1451 series is extremely nice for building a medium sized amp with the innards at the top :icon_mrgreen:
1431 & 1441 series and the 1434 & 1444 series looks like a coffin but is nice for a pedal as far as i see it .
I would be SO interested to see the largest 1590 :icon_mrgreen:

I kinda lied in my original post, im not using any MXR style boxes right now, Im using shallow tupper-wares(all that was around at the time!)
what makes it extra embarrassing that the tupperware is just opaque enough to obscure my proud circuitry but translucent enough that my bandmates can see the amateur spaghetti-job wiring inside ::)

Their boxes are alot uglier then Multicomp's ( and alot more expensive )
Those T boxes are polycarbonate boxes themselves . The entire thing is translucent , think of the 1590 , just plastic and translucent .
The Hammond 1456 enclosures also come with walnut side panels... if you're into that kinda thing. :icon_twisted:
I believe Mouser carries them, but only one size.
LMB Heeger also has a wide variety of these boxes and Mouser carries several of them.

People like the sloped front chassis, not only for their looks, but also because it is often easier to pivot one's foot and work the stompswitch.
HOWEVER....
The wider the box, and the farther back from the front skirt you situate the stompswitch, the more the chassis will buckle under your foot.
So, some recommendations:
1) Use the narrower 1456 boxes, with the 15-degree slope. Nice balance between usability and structural rigidity. Wider than 6.5" is ill-advised, unless...
2) Use soft-touch switches for relay/e-switching....
3) Mounted as close to the front skirt as feasible...
4) or insert some kind of post inside to support the top and prevent it from buckling under your foot.
Not sure if these were mentioned yet.... I haven't used them, but they look like they fit the bill nicely.
