I know I've seen some people using some very small power jacks in their pedals here. I am looking for something like those.
I would prefer something that screws onto the enclosure rather than a snap-in part or something meant to mount only to a PCB. I don't ever use battery power, so I don't need an extra terminal for battery switching. The smaller, the better. Anyone have any leads on a part number or supplier for these?

I love those, except the sleeve grounds to the enclosure, so you have to isolate it, or do Pos center.
@Earthscum i have like 6 of those and i hate them just because of sleeve. Any advice on how to isolate them?

1 option is to buy plastic sheet (1-1/16" thick) and drill large hole in the enclosure so the jack won't touch, and some smaller holes to mount the plastic plate you make with some bolts or screws. Then you can mount the jack to the plate, and it is electrically isolated from the enclosure.
I found some parts at the hardware store to make a neat little isolator (although I drilled the hole in the wrong place initially :icon_evil: ). I should put up a quick thread about it... :icon_idea:

They are a little expensive because I had to have tooling made, but they are very useful.

Hey SD, cool. Do you have a mechanical drawing of that, or any sizing info? I'm trying to find out if it's small enough for my needs.

I think those are made by mode electronics - or sold by them anyways (not a switching jack though)

I love this kind of jack, I just replaced a "earphone jack" type in a tubescreamer with one of these...they look classy and I am considering using them more...
^ i use those all the time...nice 8mm hole....not those 12mm @#$%ers... ;D
