My wife has ordered me a tiny giant amp kit for Christmas. I live in an apt and won't be able really turn it up to get distortion. Would putting a couple clipping diodes at the output yield some distortion at low volumes? Also I would like to put a tone control on the amp also, should I place it at the input or output of the amp signal? Thanks for the help.

Even though the Tiny Giant has buffer added, you can easily just add another circuit in front of the TG.
So, I'd just build the TG kit as is, with the buffer, but add another circuit in the same enclosure to add some clipping and tone shaping.
There's even a 12V out from the TG board to feed other circuits.

I built a Sansamp GT2 clone and a Condor cab sim to feed the TG and it works great.

Aybody got any sound demos of this amp? I am curious...
Doesn't matter what you did to get it... If it sounds good, then it is good!

It's a clean boost, so nothing really to demo.
