I tried it out, I do like the Joyo California compared to the Behringer TM300 (copy of Sansamp GT2). It's a bit less smooth, sounds more like a tube amp, with the slight rough edges, (some people call it character - which it is). There are good rough edges and bad rough edges in various pedals, but this pedal has the good ones. The 3-band eq works well, I agree. Interesting that these designs don't use clipping diodes. So hows that for a complete turnaround :) It made it out of the cupboard and I'll keep playing with it for a few weeks and see what happens.
