Hi, maybe someone can help with this.

I've built an Eternity Burst based on this schematic - http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/1354/soatebsqt4.jpg
On vero using this layout by Mark

It works fine, except when I turn the tone control almost fully clockwise I start to get some oscillations. Twiddling the guitar volume and tone controls alters the frequency of the oscillations. It happens with a battery or power supply.

Any suggestions ?

thanks

Check continuity with a DMM to see if you've accidentally connected something to the first lug of the tone pot that shouldn't be there.

I know this is kind of a zombie thread, but i had the same exact issue with my build with this layout and i was wondering if the OP was ever able to solve the problem. Thanks!

I have had same problems with the exact same layout, I was able to get one working by housing in enclosure, separating in/out leads as much as possible and keep the wires short; and using good parts.

to be honest its not worth it, i would try another TS style overdrive with better feedback and results.

right now I am fighting popping issues ..in almost everything. have pull down resistors on im/out and also using jack ormans little circuit. might be time for me to learn about the millennium bypass
