$3 Samsonite "Oscar Goodman" briefcase.

Why is doing the stuff I did when I was 23 a "crisis" when I'm 43?

This one didn't have a thermos, it's how I got it cheap and didn't mind hacking it.

A shame - it would've been a bitchin' thermos.

Old Roberts Radio turned into a Noisy Cricket Amp.

Open to suggestions for what to use the pot and four switches left free.

The Old radio turned into a Noisy Cricket amp is a great idea. Plus it has that vintage "mojo" for whoever sees it. Can you plug it into a speaker cab too? That would be cool to show up to a practice with an old style radio for an amp..!

@ smurf - you know you can draw resistors with a 2B, 4B, 6B pencil, yes? old valve geezers used to draw grid-leaks, I'm told.

That way you can erase all resistance.

Didn't know that, but I guessed there'd be some measurable resistance in those lines .... 2Mohm takes quite a bit of ink i'm sure.
Thanks for the compliment. There's a demo video on my blog too.

@emilyandmiles  cool!    i have put a ruby amp in an old transistor radio, but i'm not done yet, have LED's and connectors and stuff
to put in before.  I got a couple more know over, so i think i'm putting a 2 knob fuzz face i've already built in it.

I suggest a one knob OD like SHO or perhaps that one knob fuzz?
