As the  title say but what a palava.
It was glitching when i first got it wired in.
Then it was squilling like the proverbial.

Had to keep the tone down or it squeeled in bypass unbearably.
then i wired up the millenium bypass and the switch went bad on me after soldering. it took me a while to get the meter out and realise what was going on.
Wired in the new switch. then the led indicator wont go off.
even in bypass led was on.
Eventually realised i had pinout wrong changed the wiring from switch to it.
light still wouldnt go off
Goddam
turn the transistor round.
BINGO

No more squeel
light goes of pedal works a treat
What a numpty
If it can go wrong i'm gonna learn the hard way.
great to finally have it in a box and working a treat though.
and MR Stud thinks he has a hard time.

Sit down, mate.  Deep breath.  Have a beer.  And then...

- well done!   ;D

It was probably worth it, eh?   :D

I do like a happy ending...

It was defo worth it.
I love this pedal and i'm glad i ironed out the little challanges.
I want to see how it performs so i'm sending it out to a mate who's a gigging muso in a rock band for a month.
Just to see how it stands up and to see if he finds it as good as i do.
It hasnt even gone yet but i want it back already.

Didn't I recommend this for you awhile ago Kipper? I believe it was you that was asking about an 808 awhile ago.

Did it live up to the hype I gave it?

I know I love mine

i love the Son of clay jones and the TS808
the son of clay is so much easier to build and has a lot more output gain than the T808.
i am grateful of the suggestion. I've tried differant diodes in the clipping amp and i still prefer the 3mm red leds.
although a yellow and green 5mm led combination was sharp and gnarly too.
I guess its a matter of taste.
if i build the ts808 again and no doubt i will. I will use an internal trim pot for the tone control in future.
I think its more for shaping sound to the amp than something i would use all the time. I prefer to think of it as a set and forget.
