Said I would do it... and I did. Here ya go folks.

Unverified until built, but matches the verified schematic from R.G. Keen's build document. Should work fine. Use the GEOFEX build document for all the off board wiring, and for the switches, pots, and whatever else that isn't on the vero BOM.

NOTE: I used two 100uF caps in the power section, instead of four 47uF caps as required in the build doc. Use whatever suits you, spacewise. I'm also using 1 watt resistors for the LED's, instead of all those 1/4 watters in the build doc.

Everything here is also available in the Gallery.

That's it... I'm stickin' a fork in this sucker. :P

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

Haha your a madman! I'm still gonna etch this project but dang thats some fancy work you did here!

could probably use the vero from tayda and just jumper them all together. I did something similar with an old strange ts special layout I jumpered a few scrap vero boards together to make it long enough. It looked bad and worked great haha!

Thanks R.G.

And yes, veroboard.com (see davent`s link) has it up to 11 inches by 19 inches. Great prices, and good selection too. Ordered that piece from them for my Spyder 16 power supply. They have a store on EBay, Pixel Print.

Size wise, like I said, I couldn`t get it down to a 1590D, but it`s still way smaller than the original unit. Will fit, with room to spare, in those Multicomp enclosures that I like.

Several of us have built from the two runs of pcb's or self etches, but I'm not sure anyone has attempted this madness yet ;)

It might be a little easier to build from RG's build document on Geofex and use the artwork he provides to etch your own board.

Although it CAN be done this way, that maniac digi2t built an infinitphase on vero.

Great and insane work, Dino.

I still have my board set from the first PCB run but have been too intimidated to go through that thread and make a list of tweaks and amendments to that beast!

My goodness...

Images like that make me very happy that the 1st thing I've learnt was how to etch my own boards.

That is very intimating... Now my nightmares will be far more stranger than they have been...

My problem with going ahead and building this sucker, is one of incentive. When you've got one, and you're happy with it, why waste your time building another one.

I know that building it would provide validation of the design, but I guess i just haven't kicked myself hard enough yet to go for it. Besides, with other projects capturing my fancy, blablabla, you know how it is.

I really should build it one day though. Maybe give it away as a contest prize, or something like that. Who knows...  :icon_rolleyes:

Looking at it is making me feel ill.  Hats off tho, extremely impressive.

I made a Deacy amp this week and during every solder, I was cursing Vero and how much I hate it.
To the extreme, I rock a mic like a vandal.
