Hi.

I build the GGG Stage Center reverb.
http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/projects/25-reverb/43-stage-center-reverb

But I have a Accutronics 8EB2C1B reverb tank. It has a Input impedance 800 ohms and output 2575 ohms. So its off the spec that the Stage Center reverb was designed.
Could you suggest any mods to make it work?

At the moment its very odd. Sound bad actually. Too dark and distorts.

Thank you!

Mark Hammer

I've suggested a number of mods for it over the years that some people seemed to find useful.  It is a very flexible circuit.   Do a search for "Stage Center Reverb" here and you should find some of it.

Hi Mark.

I found your topics and I will start working on it.
I will let you know how it goes.
I deffenetly need to reduce the gain in various points.

The volume of the reverb is too high and frequencys are off.
So I guess that messing with IC1 B and IC1 D gain factor will do the trick
Also fequenzy rolloff limits needs to be adjusted for recovery and drive stages.

As in my case I need to lower the gain then its easier as no extra power is needed.

Thanks for the tip!

I have a Accutronics 8EB2...
The circuit requires Accutronics 4DB2C1D

This means:

I have          8 E (In 800ohm) B (out 2575ohm)

Designed for 4 D (In 250ohm) B (out 2250ohm)

So I need a lot more gain for the Drive stage and less gain for Recovery.

Oh and also I am powering it with +12-0--12VDC

So I ended up with chaning R9 to 1Meg.
Removed the Mix control and made it fixed full clean volume.
The amount of reverb will be controlled with Dwell knob - its actually a Wet signal Volume control.
