I looked at this.. what would be needed to add a volume circuit to the "Minimum Theramin?"  would it be as simple as a op-amp and pot on the output?
I used to really be with it!  That is, until they changed what "it" is.  Now, I can't find it.  And, I'm scared!  --  Homer Simpson's dad

Adding a proper theremin-style proximity control for volume would not be easy.   However, you could have the volume mute via knob or pedal- that would be fairly straight forward.
