I've seen stickers slapped on boxes before to give them a professional finished look - like this:

Has anyone had anything like this made for them? If so, where?

vinyl stickers are usually a 250 or even 500 sticker minimum order as far as I've seen...which is why people do waterslide or etching for their artwork....the quest continues! One day I think we'll come up with something great cus we have a lot of people working on the artwork ideas here....and most of em are a lot smarter then me. Good thing I'm beautiful!  :icon_eek:

What about inkjet vinyl sheets. You can get clear and white and seem to work ok.

Hmm... I should talk to my boss about this. She might be willing to set up something like a 5-10 sticker minimum (printed vinyl). Basically, the sheet we print on is 64"(?), so if you figure the amount if that width that you can fill up. She's been talking about wanting to get into more mailed decal type of work, because it's (honestly) easy money for the company, compared to having to do installs on top of just printing and laminating. I'll talk to her tomorrow about it and let y'all know what her thoughts on it are, and see if I can maybe get an approximate price for sets.

I often use photo sticker paper and print stickers myself. I'm still working on sealing them, though.

This is a good idea - a mate with a 42" HP plotter he'd inherited after a work upgrade was doing something very similar stuff for the DIY guys in other universes, accepted EPS files (only) and returned vinyl prints.

Made good money, went into printing fridge magenets for eBay, blew the plotter (lazy prick didn't maintain it despite its age), went back to delivering pizza's.

Man that guy could wail....

If you can get your head together to get half a dozen stickers printed in a single pass, they work out to be a couple of quid each.  Good quality, too.

i got a little label maker for christmas and very recently we tried it  , it prints very small and i trim them down , i plan on spraying clear over them ...  but ... i think it really wasn't too expensive

before that , a very fine lettering paint brush works well with patience , q-tips and thinner for botches . i have a few of things i built over the years and i have no idea what some of the knobs are until i monkey with it for a while . embarrassing , and kind of pathetic as well . i think we are going to have a label party pretty soon here .
im learning , we'll thats what i keep telling myself

I talked to Jess today and she basically said no minimum. If it's something you need right away, and you only need 1, it might cost you more, though. If you can wait a day or 3 extra, we can add it in with other jobs and save some money, similar to the way some of the PCB fab companies work. If you have multiple pedals that we can fill the width more, that also helps. We do quite a few one-off bumper stickers and such.

For anyone that's interested, you can email jess@signprowyoming.com. Our website is http://www.signprowyoming.com

No, I don't get bonuses or any kind of kickback from this, I just make my hourly wages... ok, I guess I would get a kind of bonus that I get to make some sweet decals for friends  :)  The decals are printed on the same high performance laminated 3M vinyl we use to do vehicle wraps. The adhesive is the kind that as long as you don't press it on too hard, you can peel it up and reposition it. Also, if you stretch it on accident you can take a blowdryer or heat gun to it and shrink it back to shape. Like I said, this is what we wrap vehicles with. Heat it up to stretch it around curves. If anyone has some kind of crazy project with compound curves and needs, I could probably make a tutorial video on how to wrap it. This is what I did for 6 years before I started working as a screen printer. We also do the cut vinyl, if anyone needs to sweeten up their drum heads, and can do banners (printed vinyl and cut vinyl). You'll have to ask Jess about the pricing. She's really good about doing quotes before we start jobs.
