with a GE ass end... designed by.... ???

mwahh hah hah hah ha......cof...hack... ;D

i know what i'd call it, but that'll be up to it's creator.

this has two deviations, well, maybe three... 2.7m resistor instead of 2.2m, 10k resistor brought down to 220r for more balls, and tone cap changed from .0039u to 3.9n and 47n in parallel.
jfet 2n5457
ass end is supposed to be a high gain npn, i used a ge npn hfe 100 with 16ma of leakage. sounds great... si sounds just as good, the higher gain the better,
but  i liked the sweetness the ge added under overdrive.

anyways... nice circuit.

Just kidding. Cool sounding circuit, really liked the saggy bits.

I imagine we'll see a sim soon enough from the 'mystery man'?

you may have something there. i love jfets and love germanium fuzz. always had a bit of trouble combining the two. when you say you dropped the 10k down to 220r, do you mean the emitter of the bjt or the source of the jfet? i've been preferring smaller source resistors too lately on jfets with only about a 0.1 to 2.2uF bypass cap.

keep it coming

the 10k from e of the transistor to ground, i dropped to 220r.
made it a little huskier.

i gotta ask the gent who designed it if i can share the schem and layout with you guys. REALLY nice sounding pedal.

and as typical with his killer designs, you can tailor the circuit pretty easily to whatever sounds good to you.

i love the ge and jfet combo... it has a woodyness to it reminiscent of an old blackface fender.
