FYI for anyone,

As some of you suspected it is in fact an eddystone enclosure.

You folks over the pond get all the good stuff! Although an Eddystone B enclosure which is similar dimensions to a 1590B is ~US$6 at banzai, the shipping is what kills it. It would roughly be ~$12-13 US to have 1 enclosure shipped to me. I need to make the shipping cost worthwhile before I get one.

I am resurrecting this thread since there is a minor update.

I found these while looking at parts for another hobby of mine (ECIGS/Vaping)

CNC Milled enclosures.

Very nice enclosures. Still have slightly slanted sides though. Very expensive. Might be worth the cost for some who want to forgo doing their own finishing.

Floor-mat at the front entrance to my former place of employment. Oh... the irony.

Nice find!

Unfortunately these enclosures are too small for 95% of thing that I build.  :icon_sad:
I just designed a new fuzz circuit! It almost sounds a little different than the last fifty fuzz circuits I designed! ;)

Coincidentally I bought one of those the other day, I was just looking on ebay and came across them, they're very nice and not too pricey compared to the painted Hammond "Stompbox" range. The sides are square or if they're not I can't tell the difference. The magnetic fastening for the base is pretty neat but it's only really useful if you use batteries and I don't know how shielding would be affected. I guess it's only a matter of time before some boutiquer discovers them and they become the next marketing gimmick.

Here's a picture, this is a 1590G size built into a little booster.

Fairly certain the sides aren't slanted.

Price wise, they don't seem to be to far off real hammonds, but who buys those anyway  8)

Nice!

Worth the price of admission (depending)?

Maybe it's the angle of the camera and the enclosure, but looking at the vertical line separating the two images against the enclosure, it looks ever so slightly slanted. Either way, slant or no slant, doesn't bother me. They do look nicely machined.

Optical illusion. As a point of reference notice how they all stand up straight and are flat across the top
