Hi!

i built the LovePedal Amp Eleven from this layout:

http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-_ksn4dPMBfI/TZXO42QAfKI/AAAAAAAAAWI/hi-Waf1N-QI/s1600/Lovepedal%2BAmp%2BEleven%2B-%2Bsmaller-757984.png

and I love how it sounds, but I'd like it to have more gain without having to turn the bass pot all the way up.

Is there any way in which I can modify the circuit to get more gain?

Thanks!

Pojo

Something I definitely should have read before doing my own debugging issue posts:

Are you saying that I put an abnormal brain into a seven and a half foot long, fifty-four inch wide GORILLA?

Use a bigger gain pot. The Amp 11 uses a 500k. If you increase it to 1M, you'll get more gain.

"Gain" = more distortion?

"Gain" = greater output level?

People throw around the term "gain" in a number of tangentially-related ways that can confuse the goals.  What do you mean by it in this circumstance?

you could also jumper around d2 and also jumper around d3 ,this'll lower the threshold of distortion-more distortion/less output.
then make r7(3.3k) bigger to regain the lost output. 6.8k should bring it back

How do I get more bass, so there will be a better use for the bass pot? And also reduce the hiss, it has a little too much treble.

The stock values set the bass rolloff at min bass to just over 1khz...kind of thin.  Make the 33nf cap 100nf (0.1uf) and that will move the initial rolloff down to around 480hz, which is a more reasonable starting point.

For hiss, make C6 120-150pf.

C6 here should read C5.
