Ill jump over there and dig it up. I must admit I am bad w searching and search engines. It's like I have a learning disability to it. I curse it! I'm starting the hunt.

What is the function of the 4069 though?
just alternative clipping on top of the transistor clippers?

Rich I went through my ic stash and I got 4049ube ae 4047 etc. no 4069s man that hurts oh and the page over at madbean doesn't have a bom! Ill have to dig up a bom and go over to my "teachers" house and rob his shop! My teacher has everything. I love it. Need a part go to bills. Hell not to brag but he gave me a handful of original mn3007s 3207 3005s and 3101s I got like 6 of ea except the clocks I got 3 but he had bought them back in the early 90s never used them and just gave them to me. Guess you get where I have the pay it forward moto! He has about 3 storage buildings of parts and all the test gear you could ever hope to want. Have access to a couple of oscilloscopes dummy load tester that can handle 500 watts huge variac bunch of signal generators he gave me one for my birthday that's 9v powered ill have to take a pic and send it to you that thing is a game changer when debugging. Anyway sry to get off topic. Wanted to know can I sub the 4069? I think that's the right chip. Either respond here or email me.

I think i read something about this on the other forum. IIRC there was a topic on this very pedal.
I could be wrong. I often am, but i believe the 4069 is just a volume boost stage.
one of the opamps would probably have done just as well in the 4069. I guess it just seemed a shame to have so many and not use them to the designer.
It could probably have been built with a common or garden audio op amp after the gain stage. IDK
do a search on the other forum.
I'll email it to you Dizzy. Included in the stuff i already sent you Is a 4049 designed OD too. called the 49er.

disabled, I dunno if you sorted your inverter yet, but you can use any of the unbuffered hex inverters, if you check their data sheets for pinouts, as there are some differences. you can also use the 4007 wired as inverters.

the inverters are used here biased into their linear regions, whereas they are usually in digital circuits. they where found a long time ago to have similarities to overdriven valve stages, and everyone loves that sound, right?

and that voltage provides no peace, rich. it'll be another restless nicht tonicht.

Heres my updated stone grey voltage.
I hope this helps you get some beauty sleep Duck Arse :)
