I'm having trouble finding this part for the madbean nautilus. Uk based
Anybody got a scooby where I can get some please

You can also use a MAX1044CPA or an ICL7660SCPA.

They flake out?
I've read before of people not getting on well with them.
which ones should i go with. I dont want to go to the trouble of this big build and it flakes out on me.
Please advise

They are picky with their input voltage.  Without checking the datasheet, I seem to recall that a gnat's gonad over 10V will toast it.

Doctor Tweek and Rapid Electronics both stock the IC7660S in the UK.

I would recommend the IC7660s over the MAX1044. The IC7660S can handle voltage supply input of up to 12V.

Tayda carries the TC1044SCPA at $.99!  -- bargain, and works.  The MAX1044 is nominal on voltage, not recommended with wall worts.  Look for the "Charge Pump Design" thread... Lot's of this discussed.  MC
