absolute beginner question.. Roger Mayer Voodoo pedals

I'm not sure if this is even the correct forum but I thought I'd ask to see if I'd be able to make heads or tales of a mod..

is there a big difference between the (original black box)  Voodoo Bass and the Voodoo 1? or is it a small difference that can be modded for a toggle/switch?
I would be modding a VB to hopefully toggle to V1 specs.

Welcome to the forum

The main difference between the two is the tone stack, so it shouldn't be a huge deal to switch between the two. A quick search on the old Google turned up both schematics and vero layouts of both pedals, so whichever one you prefer you know it's out there. I personally like the readability (and pretty colors  ) of vero layouts, so here are these:
