Who is Tonmann? no reference to Doug, Aron or myself

This is what started this note the date and the notes  I had built stuff based off this before 2003.  IIRC Doug added to and adjusted this to what he liked for the Hot Silicon.  Then there is the mictester stuff posted at free .........
It is a design selected input resistance. selected first gain stage gain, selected openloop and closed loop gain of Q2, adjustable bias that should be an external control.

Doing a search for the Hot Silicon it was good to read people seem to like it, however the posts I found sometimes get the history wrong.

It is disappointing that when selling the clones of commercial circuits, it is necessary to state the origin (but in a manner to avoid legal action).  Meanwhile, that same credit is omitted for the circuits appropriated from the DIY community.

I first learned of GuitarPCB a few years ago and discovered that a PCB for sale was using a runoffgroove.com circuit without credit. I corresponded with Barry and Tonmann. Barry resolved the situation to my satisfaction.

It is possible to discover a bit more about Tonmann and his development process by looking at the rest of his Photobucket library. Proper attribution of credit does appear on some layouts. Four years ago, Tonmann was unwilling to compromise when I requested credit be given to runoffgroove.com for the appropriated circuit. Fortunately, Barry was more respectful.
