Hi everyone,
I'm having an issue with my vox wah which I gutted and rebuilt as a clyde mccoy replica with true bypass. When I switch the wah on I get this whispy static, sounds like wind passing through an open window. The wah still functions and sounds like it should except for this static which masks the tone. It goes away when I switch the wah into bypass. I've searched on this forum and people have had static issues and corrected with a new pot but I doubt it's the pot in my case. I'm using the same pot from before the rebuild and it's allways worked fine. I checked the input and output jacks and they are secure. The odd thing is that when I first plug it in it's clear as day for about 30 seconds and then the static starts to roll in. Thoughts?
