how to post an image as a link, but resized?

any of you code-jockeys know how to mess with the hyperlink and img tags here, such that I can post an image, resized for modesty, that points to the full-size image, somewhere less modest?

I've got the resize an image bit, but not the image as link bit.

Ok got it now you want an image that when clicked goes to another image right ?
[ url=http://your big image ][ img] http://your little img [ /img][/url]

Take out the spaces around the brackets.

If you really need that option , you can upload the images to PostImg.org . They have an option to post the image as a thumbnail in a forum , which links to the original size one And it's free !

once you see the size of the typing goes with the pics, you'll need that bottle. ^^^

and arrghh, seadi, of course. I use imgur, never read all the junk at the sides.

Awesome duck! Imgur has the small thumbnail options on the right at the bottom. If you haven't  found them yet the are listed as thumbnail and small square. Click them and use the URL.  It is almost the same as the image URL just has an extra letter at the end. Use that as your small image.  You may already know this.  I'm gonna crash now with the bottle.  Y'all have fun guys check ya later.

Photobucket allows you to resize images in their edit facility.  This is the late great Cujo at the charity dogwash:



And this is the same inage resized:



The resized picture is stored as the same image with a dash number after it.

Yep, do what John said.  And wrap the whole thing in a [url][/url] tag to go to the "big picture":
