Another lame question... Soft touch DPDT switches, do they exist?

I know there is a soft touch switch with 2 lugs, (http://www.mammothelectronics.com/4SFSSPST-M-p/800-1003.htm) but are there any with six? all of the one's ive seen with six make a clicking noise. Maybe it isn't possible with the setup of the switch.

Not a lame question. I did an FAQ about this because it comes up periodically:

Q: I'm working in a very quiet environment and need a true-bypass switch that does not have a mechanical "ker-chunk."

A: I don't have or know of a silent true-bypass stomp switch. That said, there are ways to handle this problem, though none is simple.

This actuator:

is silent in operation. Combine it with a multi-pole tactile switch:
http://www.smallbearelec.com/servlet/Detail?no=1095

and you have the equivalent of a silent stomper. But you have to pay Very careful attention to getting the registration of the parts correct and to securely mounting the switch.

You can also combine a "Soft-Touch" momentary switch:
http://www.smallbearelec.com/servlet/Detail?no=672

with a latching relay:
http://www.smallbearelec.com/servlet/Detail?no=809

though you'll need a circuit to de-bounce the switch contacts. There is info on this subject at Geofex.com.

A Monomonster relay-driver board or Molten Voltage ICs and modules are still another possibility:

There are not any with more than two lugs. "soft touch" switching is only possible because it is momentary. Soft touch switches in guitar stompboxes are used to send a trigger to another part of the circuit which handles the actual switching, which may be relays (for true bypass) or some sort of fets for buffered switching.

wow! The Small Bear is talking to me!

Well, great small bear, thanks for that info.

What about for a momentary switch? such as a tap tempo control. Because sometimes you need a double pole one.

You might be able to find momentary double pole switches, but I can't say that I've seen one. I can imagine them existing though as they do make sense.

Not to be surprised. I'm fairly well known in these environs. The forage is good, natives friendly...

DPDT and 3PDT momentary stompers exist:

but they are not clickless. The other suggestions I made are still your best bet.
