How to replace a switched cap with a pot and cap

I'm sorry if the answer is already here, but I did a search and didn't find anything.  Maybe I don't know what terms to search for.

Simple question, I think.  For example, the Beavis Trotsky has a "bright cut" switch that just switches in a 22nf cap.

If I wanted to replace the switch with a pot to allow anything between 0 and 22nf, it's really simple in my head, but I can't figure out how I'd actually wire that pot.  I did read RG's post on FSB regarding the different math involved because of the resistance of the pot, even at "zero," and I get most of that, but actual values aside, I just can't figure out how to wire the pot up.

Thanks guys for your patience with a beginner.

It wouldn't be this simple, would it?

That will work. Try a 10k pot and a .01 cap to start.

Awesome. Thanks John. The SWTC 2.0 seems like the way to go.

Thanks again.
