AMT B1 cab sim or similiar

Has anyone tried the AMT cab simulator that comes with the B1 with another distortion pedal?I am giging with in ear monitoring so amp is not an option.I am thinking crucnh box v2>cab sim>mixer.Is there cab simulator worth building?I need it to be a vero layout
