Hi guys, its Dipanjan....last month I built two pedals (Amptweaker Tight Metal and Wampler Triple Wreck) for myself. I was thinking if any Harmonizer pedal can be cloned. I think harmonizers are all digital..... any analog unit is there for harmonizer that can be cloned or have been cloned already?

There is an analog-ish harmonizer that will do one note at a time but not chords. It appeared in Electronics and Music Maker in the 70s. I think it's on Mark Hammer's site. I have a copy if not.

It uses a phase locked loop to lock to and multiply in frequency single notes.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

At $50 bucks, you should check out the US600 by behringer. Don't like the company or their product history too much, but mine hasn't broken.  Someone did a comparison to a much more expensive unit on you tube. I like mine.  There are other things I'd rather build first.  That's how I rationalize the purchase.

If your looking for something similar to a Boss PS6, for what they cost just buy one as you are not going to be able to build anything like it DIY. The only DIY that comes close is an FV-1 chip and even with that you can't have any intelligent key harmonies. ie the only ones that will work are octaves 4th and 5ths.
