Hello dear friends,

a friend of mine is the owner of a Kustom Quad 100 Head for the last 6 years or more..

but he never got the footswitch so he asked me if it's easy to make one..

and i come to you and ask if there's any sort of information..maybe a schematic or something..

he only needs a channel switch, nothing more..

thanks in advance..!

Look at the end of this manual, you'll see a schematic.

This amp uses the same footswitch as the Quad. It looks as if you'll only need two switches, and a TRS plug. The switches go to ground, and the switching seems to be done inside the amp.

That's good news!
But why two switches?I only need a channel select switch..not for the effects..
What do you mean by switches go to ground?
As far as i can see the channel selection has to do with the tip..it that wrong?
So do i connect the switch to tip and ground and when they are not connected to each other i've got channel A and when connected channel B or something completely different..??(sorry..totally new to this kind of stuff..)

This should work for you;

Just omit the 5mm LED's. I don't think you'll have a choice to use both switches. By the looks of it, if you don't, then you'll disable the switch on the amp for the effects, or maybe the effects all together.

So do you mean that the dsp switch must be there too for the circut to work propertly?

If i skip it maybe the dsp stays only on or only off?

Is there any trick to skip it or is the dsp switch the only way?

Thanks a lot for your help digi2t!!

QuoteSo do you mean that the dsp switch must be there too for the circut to work propertly?

From the way I see it, yes. Once you insert a plug into the footswitch jack on the amp, it looks like it disables the switch on the amp.

QuoteIf i skip it maybe the dsp stays only on or only off?

Correct, but I can tell which, since the schematic isn't comprehensive enough to show us if the relay is wires NO (normally open), or NC (normally closed).

QuoteIs there any trick to skip it or is the dsp switch the only way?

You would have to open the amp, and disconnect the dsp circuit from the footswitch jack. If it's wires, fairly easy. If it's board mounted, less easy. If you don't know what your doing... buy the extra switch, follow the Triggerman 60 diagram, and enjoy having the added luxury of switching your effects in/out as well. :icon_biggrin:

Thanks a lot for your time and your answers..!! :)
