This was a gift from Belgium....

Simply one of the best sounding fuzz box I have played...

It switch's from a pretty useless treble boost to my go to fuzz. I run a old COT 50 in front and the two play really nice...

Google suggests it is a combo fuzz face -like effect and a range master.

Yes it is... :) I am The Gainster...

AC128 is the tranny...is this a straight up FF.

Why just one? It does have a 2n3904 also...

Thanks for time and help. this thing sounds so musical I want to build 1543 of them...

It's hard to tell from the photo but heres a guess...

If the darker blue "resistors" are actually schottky diodes, then I would guess its a pnp germanium version of a Jordon Bosstone (or variant) and the 2N3904 is the buffer for the diodes. The part count looks pretty close and since the 2N3904 is an NPN device and the AC128 is a PNP device that lend credence to my theory. Of course if those arent diodes my theory completely falls apart ;)
You've got to love obsolete technology.....

If that is the case re the transistors, maybe the builder inadvertently made something like a harmonic percolator?
