Hi!

I have used modelers for a long time but now just pedals. I wonder if there is a way to get a wah pedal to work as a volume pedal when the switch is of just as you can on say a Line6 pod HD. I know there are manufactures out there with such a product but heres the tricky part.

I want the wah pedal first in the chain when activated but I want the volume pedal in the loop of my amp.

Is this something that have been asked before?

I guess that would be doable, but you would have to have an additional pair of I/O jacks and IMHO the lowest-tech for switching would be to employ a relay matrix (you'd have to switch the pot from/to wah and aux I/O jacks and simultaneously bypass the wah I/O and vice versa etc.).

So you´re saying there is a chance  ;)

I don´t have the skills for this so I wonder who should I ask to build me one?

bool

I'm not the one to build/mod your fx, but here's the "what" you need to switch:

1) a pair of aux I/O jack sockets (for the amp-fx-loop)
2) a 3PDT for switching/assigning the pot from/to wah and aux
3) a 2PDT for bypassing the wah
4) a 2PDT for bypassing the aux I/O
5) a 1PDT for "master" switching (aux-wah)

No's 2-4 are relays. No 5. is a regular heavy duty switch for stomping.

So it's up to you to decide if it's worth it. IMHO the list is OK, but there may be an error or something I may have overlooked...

Good luck
