Hello I just built a clone on stripboard of a dam red rooster. The main thing I like about the rangemaster style circuit is the impedance trick?? You know you can have one blasting andfthen lower the volume on the guitar and the gau8n/distortion cleans up very nicely. This build doesn.t do that . I think its because it has a 1m resistor. I believe that is the cause and they put it in there to stop the loading of the pickup? So my question is the can i lower the 1m resistor to get this back? If so what value should I use or just dissconnect it ??I ahave the tonebender all built on the stripboard but not installed yet . it too has a 1m resistor and the original doenst. Thank you all so much I have recently got the fever, I have done several pedals now and I love building them.
