Led works with battery, but not with DC jack

Hi

I'm new to building pedals, and ordered a kit to build a compressor (der squeezer from musikding.de). I've soldered all components to the pcb, and wired everything as shown in the wiring scheme. When I test te pedal, the bypass works as expected, but when i turn it on there's no sound. If I power the pedal with a battery, the led lights up, but when i try the DC jack nothing happens. My guess is there is something wrong with the pcb or a component attached to it, as the current from the DC jack passes trough the pcb.

Does anyone know what the problem might be, or with what steps a can proceed to find the error?

I just designed a new fuzz circuit! It almost sounds a little different than the last fifty fuzz circuits I designed! ;)

Also..a few images of the board often helps in spotting a problem area. (solder bridge, polarized component backward)

Here ar some pics of the board, to make some pics of the otherside I need to remove the wiring :) I've tripple checked for solderbridges though.

Your solder connections on the off board wiring look a bit "dodgy."

If you have a meter, check continuity from a point that's supposed to be connected to the wire, (via solder connection) to the wier's destination.

Example:
Check continuity between a Pad (not the solder) to a pot lug, switch pin, or jack lug. (once again...not on the solder)

This will let you know if you have a bad solder joint.

Also check you connections at the power jack. The battery positive should be connected to the middle lug and the +9v wire from the board should be connected to the lug furthest from the ground lug. Its hard to tell from the picture if that's the way you did it. Also make sure your wall wort has a centre negative plug

So I took the thing apart and going to rewire all of it, this is the bottom of the board. You guys see anything something wrong with it?

The battery vs DC jack problem seems to be resolved, but still no sound when turned on.

It's hard to tell from the photos, but make sure the stomp switch is oriented correctly. See below.

Possible switch problem aside...

I downloaded the hi res image of the trace side and.....it looks like you might have some cold solder joints.

Look on the internet for a soldering tutorial...there are many. You might want to hit the solder joints again.

Ok, thanks for having a look at the pictures, I'm still learning this stuff so your input is very welcome!
I'll redo the soldering, and try it again.
