I had this little baby sitting on the "whenever I get to it" pile and I decided to revisit it.

It is a Barcus Berry 1330-S preamp. I opened it up only to find that the repair looks easy BUT... the part needed looks to be unobtainium  :-\

What is missing is the 3.5M trimmer (yes... that is 3.5M) Looks like some dingus snapped it in half while trying to put the enclosure back together..  :'(

My search has turned up empty thus far and was looking for help! So... you internetz gurus out there... can you help a brother out?

Are you looking to restore it or just make it work?
If I can solve the problem for someone else, I've learned valuable skill and information that pays me back for helping someone else.

Piher makes a 5 meg trimmer. You could use resistors to change the value thereafter.

Ideally I would like to restore it however, seeing as the other pot in my unit is a Piher I guess it is the closest I will get.

Gotta keep an eye out in March!

Honestly, I don't know why I want to restore/fix it. It is not really something I need or want particularly. I just hate to see it sitting there and not working  :-\

I hope i read that date correctly as i believe the numerical-representation-convention differs between our two countries and i can never remember which comforms to my logic.
