Thanks Mac so not much change in the distortion shape but a bit more compression. I really should spend some time with spice.

@Jim I still have several issues. I found a bunch of microscopic wire ends causing a short. The gain  is back now. After letting my coffee go cold 3 times last night debugging. Thats the biggest issue, the coffee. My gain pot is funky now. it seems to not make rany differance up or down. its just flat out gain.
More to do.
I have a full day today varnishing skirtings. then hopefuly a couple of hours at the bench tonight.

I'll try removing the bypass cap on Q2 IIRC that was an issue before.

It was a bad pot and value and I some how managed to wire it up wrong
Now I have 50 shades of gain.
