I present to you the beta version of my pot taper modelling calculator!

Always wanted to use one, now wrote it. All that is left to add some more features, better UI and make it pretty ;)

Feel free to test and use: http://dust-storm.com/potcalc/

Thanks guys, if you have any ideas, let me know and I'll try to put them in  :)

Uber-cool. Would like to see the percentage of total resistance in addition to the actual resistance value for each segment in the tool tip.

Very cool, I can use this for my wah I'm working on now. Thanks!

Shouldn't the red line be labelled 'R(Gnd - Vout)'?
Is voltage output reversed (pot turned from clockwise to counter clockwise)?

How about being able to add parallel resistance to the 2 outer lugs?

-you are right! must have missed that, and yeah seems I reversed the pot currently.

I would like a few presets for various curves.  Would be an interesting starting point to set the pot value and have the resistors populated to the best values for the taper selected

interesting idea. not that hard to implement as well if there were some known values for one setting. Maybe even make it round to nearest standard resistor. First the UI changes though :)

Does it keep high-scores?   :D
ha! I might add some form of statistics to it indeed :P

HOLY CROW!!! NICE WORK!!!

Bookmarked. I had nothing against the Analog Alchemy one, but for visual creatures like myself, this is gorgeous.

Holger - can you re-post the link?

Holger was asking for a new home for this when his existing host expired. I note that this has now happened. Offers have been made but he's been quiet of late. Shame as its a nice tool. I hope everything's ok at his end....
