Hey everyone.
So I've been trying to use a couple of BC183L because I still find the BC108 a bit harsh, but they never worked.
I emailed the supplier because I suspected the provided pinout was wrong, and it turns out I was right!!(BCE instead of CBE).
I found 2 matching transistors with a gain of 140(the BC108 were 250) and now it sounds far better!!
I ended up biasing it around 4V.
Do you guys use the fuzz face on top of a clean, mild overdrive, or fully distorted amp? Just curious.

mikelam -  the L suffix added to any BC series part number means funny pinout. but you'd check the manufacturer's datasheet anyway, wouldn't you?
don't make me draw another line.

duck_arse I did check but the datasheet the supplier provided was wrong. I contacted them, they tested it and confirmed it.
