Anyone trying to sharpen their pcb layout/design skills? I need 2 designs done up and I have no clue how to work those programs. I must have tried every program out there. For some reason I can't wrap my head around it  ???. If anyone can help me I'd really appreciate it. I'll do my best to make it worth it for your time if that's an issue. Thanks in advance, and you guys rock!

Feel free to message me as well. Perhaps Ron could do one and I could do the other   :)
You've got to love obsolete technology.....

Jacob Kokura has a really good Youtube series on doing PCB layouts in Eagle for guitar pedals. There's an entire subforum dedicated to the art at Madbean, as well.

Doing layouts is fun. sometimes.

If you'd just post which pedals you need, maybe someone already got a readymade layout in their virtual drawers?

Very good idea. :)

Also try using Diptrace anyone can make a pcb with this in less than 1 hour, it is very user friendly unlike eagle and most other cad pcb programs.

if you try diptrace and still can't do it, I will fix you up as long as your not wanting to build a something that NASA would design.  :icon_wink:

Please at least have 1 forum post before sending me a PM demanding something.

Is your problem with the complexity of the programs, or with the design process itself? Both can be learned, though I think the design piece is harder. Suggestion: Start with the easy part by starting to learn DIY Layout Creator. It's free, and there is a lot of help available for it both in this Forum and as tutorials. It does not output Gerber (PCB CAD) files, but, if you can create something buildable in DIY LC, it is not a huge job to learn to draw the same pattern in a purpose-designed CAD program. The key to that is isolating the relatively small number of functions need to create a simple board from the large universe of commands and menus that professional designers require.

Post the schematics and let people take a whack at it. I'm interested.

I started out in Kicad (it's free and great!) from this video tutorial series:

Very easy to follow and once you get the hang of it the designing is a breeze!

Ok guys. Here's my ideas.....
PCB 1:
My main objective is to make the (Sabrotone) Tap Tempo Chorus with Stereo out and Hollis Ultra Flanger (possibly a different flanger but I've found this one to have a wide sweep)on 1 pcb but as individual effects.  I would also like to be able to remove the flanger portion before I print it, enabling me freedom to be able to print only 1 of the 2 circuits. Know what i'm getting at? Kinda like the other circuit is an option. Now I'm just spitballing but Its probably better and easier to design them both and use jumpers to bypass the Flanger.

Also, The chorus layout is modified a little from the pictures. "Tap Input SW 1", "Tap Input SW 2", and "Sync Input" are not used, they're omitted. "Tap Input SW3" is connected to 1 lug of the SPST Momentary Stomp Switch (Tempo Switch) and the other lug of the SPST Tempo switch goes to ground.

I've included the datasheet for the LFO V.2 chip, Layout for the Stereo Daughterboard, Original Boss CE-2 schematic (the tap tempo chorus is basically the boss ce-2 with tap), Tap Tempo Chorus schematic and vero layout. Also included the Ultra Flanger Schematic and vero layout.

I'm Really looking forward to see what yous can come up with. As far as my complications, I'm not sure where or how to start from a layout or schematic and my layouts look the size of a tv.

PCB 2:
Now on the bottom of the priority list is the Spaceman WOW Signal. No changes anywhere.
Just a basic pcb for that.

Here's the LFO Datasheet.......
