A little late, but you can get cloth hockey tape from big 5, it's about the same & its cheaper than handle bar tape. I also use it as an insulator. It's about $2.99-$3.99

15K Q1 collector
150K bias
1K Q2 emitter with a 100uf bypass cap
2.2K and 100 ohm at Q2 collector .22uf cap across the 100 ohm for a lowpass filter
1uf film output cap to a 100k volume
1N5819 to a 100 ohm to a 100uf filter

about 1.6VDC at Q1 collector and about 7VDC at Q2 collector, voltages change some with battery voltage
