Freppo was kind enough to send me a pcb from his prototype batch and I just finished boxing it. Really cool circuit! I plan on doing a demo video soon.

Awesome. That's a special build. Love the octagon enclosures and those switches :)

I uploaded the demo again in much better quality (and the old link wasn't working anyway..)

cheers

Very cool effect! I see PCBs and vero are available but I'm not seeing a schematic. Is that an exercise left to the reader?   :D

Hooray for that! Looking forward to it! I want to build it myself as well.. but if it's cool on bass i can order two pcbs and torment our drummer even more.

I just got my Into the Unknown yesterday,it's not a kit,it's ready to play

and I just wanted to thank Fredrik for this stunning circuit.

I also got an old Korg x911 and I am astonnished what his circuit can do

with only for 40XX Cmos Ics.

I really wonder what he'll bring us in the futur and where/when he will stop

surprising us.
Keep on soldering!
And don t burn fingers!

I just watched the demo again today with one of the guys at work and I want in so badly it hurts  :P As soon as the new PCBs come in I'm getting at least 4. 8)

Really cool effect. I haven't gotten a look at the schematic yet, but listening to the demo makes me wonder if it would be possible to sync the lfo to an external clock, with some kind of 0-5 V trig pulse or square wave?

I will admit that I don't know much about syncing LFO's, but I don't think it's possible with this LFO.

Impressed by the amount of different sounds available with such a minimal circuit (looking at the PCB over at musikding). Good job! Looking forward to reading your documentation

Here are a couple demo videos I put together of my Into The Unknown build. Forgive my noodling 8)
The only mod I did was to add an expression jack for the filter control which IMO is a worthy addition and is demonstrated in the first video.

thank you for your time and effort into making these videos. :) sounds pretty cool. The hysterical sounds of the bass video put a smile on my face. It looks like it's more useful on guitar, but some cool bass sounds nonetheless.

I haven't played with it much on bass, just enough to make the video. I think your assessment is correct. It seems like the octaves get jumbled a little more on bass. I might try sticking a compressor in front of and see if that cleans it up a bit. There are definitely some very useable sounds on bass though.

the best thing is that I can put my theremin up for sale.. it's been sitting here for ages waiting for someone to play it properly ;)
