Wah Inductor Salvaged

  Bang !!
  Over 100 coils/pickups  came out of the old T500 organ.
  Number "79", [windings with figure 8 core laminates] suits my 847 circuit, distinct wah effect is produced.
  It's 3x as large as my Y fasel [got crunched/destroyed] by the bottom of the case], and tunes in noise [5'' extension wires allow orientation experiments].
  It could be a ground came loose, the intolerable level of noise fits that scenario, but I think it might be the larger inductor /antenna is injecting the noise.
  The wah was made taller to accomodate the larger inductor, would shielding it be worth a try ?

Where the hell you been, fella?  Haven't seen you here in a dog's age.  Hope all is well.

Steve/Small Bear sells a DIY inductor kit, and was generous enough to send me one a while back.  The kit itself is great, but I had a helluva time trying to fit enough wire in there to arrive at the desired inductance.  Still haven't managed to do it.

Anybody with advice to offer on what magnet-wire gauges to use or avoid?
