So I put a stratoblaster in my guitar, and it sounds great.  The problem is now that the signal is too hot for the envelope filter. Nit just blows it open, and the gain adjustment cannot pad it enough for a usable tone.  Any thoughts?  Thanks.

I guess since its onboard the guitar. If I have that right.
You wouldnt want to put an extra output pot on it because of space constraints?
maybe you dont have room for a switch to make a switchable voltage divider on the output too.

I did put an output control pot in the guitar as well. I like it at a certain amount of gain though, and it's too much for the filter.  I changed the gain pot on the filter to 1 meg from a 100k and it helped.

If the signal is still to hot with a 1 Meg range pot then you could make the feedback resistor resistor for the envelope follower smaller, R5 in this schematic http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/pdf/ggg_ef440_sc.pdf maybe try 470k for starters.
