Hi Guys!
I just bought a 2nd hand BOSS DS-1 and while it looks pristine, there's a little issue, when I stomp the pedal it does not switch inmediatly, takes like 1 second to switch rom clean to distortion and visceversa, do you know what can this be? most probably is a very easy fix so I might try to do it myself. I just called the seller and he said that he never experienced such issue but this pedal was left unused for a couple of years just sitting on it's box...maybe it's lack of use?

thanks in advance for your help!

Maybe a leaky cap somewhere??   Does it look like the switch etc. is original?  If so, they use a flip-flop FET section to switch.  Something in there might be leaky, old etc....slow to charge.

Sounds like a bad or underpowered cap coming off of the switch circuit.
