I've just finished the build of a Boss DS-1 clone from Aion. But, they don't work.... I think that I mount the diodes incorrectly. You can check!?!?

thanks.

You have a schematic and you can see both sides of the pcb. Why dont you check it yourself?  8)

No sound? Hum? Smoke? Radio stations?

The diodes look OK to me. What's the issue you are hearing?

Or are you not hearing anything at all?  Or just clean sound, no distortion?   .....more data please....

MXR Dist +, TS9/808, Easyvibe, Big Muff Pi, Blues Breaker, Guv'nor.  MOSFace, MOS Boost,  BJT boosts - LPB-2, buffers, Phuncgnosis, FF, Orange Sunshine & others, Bazz Fuss, Tonemender, Little Gem, Orange Squeezer, Ruby Tuby, filters, octaves, trems...

I've the diode mode, but they don't light... and the distortion is very soft and low volume. I check all and change the IC but nothing changes.

You shouldn't necessarily expect to see the LEDs light up.  They're there for clipping, not one of Rob's lightshows.   ;)

Ohm's Law - much like Coles Law, but with less cabbage...

Thanks.

Anyway the don't work properly.

Try to replace them with a pair of Ge or Schottky diodes..

Although I think something wrong happens with IC's gain..

Voltages:

IC1:

1= 0,745V
2 = 0,744V
3 = 0,728V
4 = 0.00... mV
5 = 0,564V
6 = 0,730V
8 = 8,94V

Q1:

C=3,468V
B=3,91v
E=8,95

Q2:

C=0,000...mV
B=0,000...mV
E=0,000...mV

Q3:

C=3,136V
B=3,433V
E=8,95V

D1:

A=8,95V
K=0

D2:

A=4,46V
K=4,19V

D3:

A=4,19V
K=4,46V

D4:

A=4,46V
K=4,48V

D5:

A=4,49V
k=4,46V

Q2 sure has a problem (all zeros).

IC1 has a problem (mostly half-Volt).

Your problem is there, not "diodes".

Q1 Q3 are right if you have confused C and E pins. I don't know if the error is in the build or the reporting; it may not matter.
