Hi, I came to a phase of drilling holes in 1590B enclosure.

I need holes for 3 pots and rest (switch, jacks, led). I'd like to have space for a battery as well.

To be more precise, I'd like to have an enclosure drilled like this (except the DC jack, I'd drill it next to the input jack):

Thanks  :icon_mrgreen:

None of these will do? You can move holes if you need. If Im not mistaken 125B is the same size as 1590B, just from different company, the latter being a Hammond designation.

125B is larger in all dimensions to a 1590B.

Try some of these.  These are good because they're true to size.  Just make sure you measure the enclosure to leave room for a battery in the bottom.  I usually just put a battery in an empty enclosure (the 1590B, for example) and measure past it and mark that as the bottom of the footswitch.  Then, because I'm really not good with photoshop, and since the templates are all lined up on the grid, I take an actual measurement from the physical pedal (front/top) from the top down to the center of where my switch will be, then I use the same measurement in photoshop and then draw an elliptical right there.

There's another thing called something like pedal enclosure vector pack and it has all of the sizes, but with those I usually have to crop it perfectly so it lines up on the grid...

Madbean also has drill templates with almost every project. I have saved a few that I use for most of my projects. Some I resized a little to fit other enclosures.

Floor-mat at the front entrance to my former place of employment. Oh... the irony.

This one looks good and easy to use, thanks, just need to figure out how to drilll a whole next to the switch, for LED  ::)

Drilling a whole might be difficult  :icon_razz:

+1 madbean. Just find a pedal you like the layout of and you're done.

I put "1590b drilling template" into google and got results

Silly question (probably) re the Madbean templates. It looks like they are designed for drilling into the enclosure from the back / inside side. Is that how they are supposed to be used?

Have a look at mammoth electronics they supply a printable template sheet for top and sides in pdf, just print it measure where you would like your holes to be, mark it and drill it. It couldn't get any simpler than this. They provide these primarily for people to use their drilling service but you can download the template and drill it yourself.

True, yes, but, I don't trust my drilling skills yet. First time drilling wholes anyway, don't want to ruin the case, would put me down.

I think, maybe, i could combine madbeans template and general guitar gadgets one in order to get a perfect combination :icon_mrgreen:

I'll go print some templates now... :icon_rolleyes:
