I know for su[img] ]re this will do two pedals will it do three i am using pins 1 and 2 and 12 and 13 already some of the others say in and out . if not no big deal but it would be nice thank You

I don't understand your question.

The CMOS switches are a lot like mechanical switches. Signal can go either way, In or Out, at each pin, depending what you do with them. "Multiplexers" are aimed at applications where you have say 8 sources (perhaps temperature sensors) to one input (perhaps a display). However they work just as well for one output to 8 inputs.

Ah, 4053 is three 2-throw switches. That may impact your "will it do three" question. There is a two 3-throw switch at the next part-number up (down?).
