Hey guys,

just finished my aion cirrus Pedal. Unfortunately it does´nt work.
The bypass and the LED are okay. But the effect sounds broken and too quiet.  :icon_frown:

Here is my voltage:

IC1:
1-009     5-019
2-009     6-002
3-004     7-000
4-000     8-006

IC2:
1-009     5-019
2-009     6-009
3-009     7-008
4-000     8-008

Can anybody help me, please?  :icon_rolleyes:

Looks like you've used a single potentiometer instead of a dual potentiometer for the mid boost/bite control
Without the other half of the dual pot, signal is not making it through part of the circut

Damn, you are right!!!  :o

Thanks, you made my day!  :icon_biggrin:

Just a few basic questions.
Since it looks like you are using the input Jack as a switch.
Did you plug the guitar cable into the input Jack before taking the voltages?

Did you check that you have +9v on the pcb?

It might be that you have no +9v because all voltages seem like ground.
Since the led works I'm assuming it's a problem with the pcb power supply.

Did it work before you boxed it?
Always a good idea to check it works before you box it up.
Hind sights a wonderful thing though.

Excuse me if it's not your first rodeo and my questions are out of order.
I hope you get it fixed soon.

Yep, that would do it. Fantastic work otherwise, though - very tidy! I love the glue-gun trick for the back of the pots. I hadn't ever seen that before but it's a very good solution!

@ Kipper4 : No, the Voltage was without a guitar cable. I checked the PCB and it´s 9V. No, I didn´t checked it out before!  :icon_redface:

@ aion : tnx! Too kind of you!

I just ordered a dual poti, and I will let you know if this will solve the problem.

Thanks folks

John Dee

I just received the dual potentiometer and yes .... that´s it !!!  :icon_biggrin:

Thanks guys for your help and rock on!  :icon_twisted:
