Its passing signal and all. (breadboard)
I used a 2n3904, 2N5088 and 2N222 but the transistor resistor aint making it funk.
Other subs 1M filter gain pot
100nf input cap
470nf output cap (cause it was first one to hand)
1n4007 rectifier diode (as above)

Ideas please.

Schematic here.

I built one of these some years ago. Remember that it was quite twitchy and temperamental.
What op-amp(s) are you using?
I'm a refugee of the great dropbox purge of '17.
Project details (schematics, layouts, etc) are slowly being added here: http://samdump.wordpress.com

It is essentially a DR. Q.  However, instead of the 25k trimmer and 22k current-limiting resistor, Anderton used a 13k/10k pair as a voltage-divider to replace the trimmer, and no current-limiter.  Just replace what you see in the Seamoon with what you see in the Dr. Q.

Note that the 5M Q/gain control will shift the sweep range downward as gain/Q is increased.  You may find a more suitable arrangement to use a 3-position toggle to select between 330k, 1M and 2M2-3M3 (i.e., 3M3 is the default resistance and the toggle brings other resistance values in parallel to achieve lower combined values)

Ua741 op amps Sam.

I'll pop right over to Mr Lymans and see the Dr Q Thanks Mark. I should have spotted that.

Thanks guys it's a little better but still a little stuck pig wah.
I'll look again tommorow I keep getting hints that it's capable of more. (every now and then it proper wahs) then goes back to stuck pig.

Note that pin 3 of the filter section goes to Vref, but pin 3 of the envelope/rectifier section goes to ground.

Not denigrating your chops, but given how often we get used to routing the non-inverting pin to Vref, it's too easy for force-of-habit to win.  :icon_wink:

Thanks MarK
I did get it working in the end. It's quite fussy to get it working well. Even with the 25k pot and 22k current limiting resistor. But it does work.
I did have a happy accident on the breadboard when trying it with a 1458 op amp. Didnt get as far as making it wah. I got carried away doing something else.
More on that in a new thread.
Thanks for the help guys.

Heres my ammended version

Quick question. Does changing the 1nf cap in my above schematic (C1) have the same effect as changing the
C4 cap in the inductorless wah.
