Rewiring a 'Double' pedal so the switches are master bypass...

Hi!
I'd like to know how difficult it is to rewire a double pedal, for example a Double Hotcake or Zvex Double Rock (two individual pedals in one with individual footswitches!), so that one footswitch was a 'master bypass' turning off/on both pedals and then the other footswitch added/subtracted the second side of the pedal.

Hope this makes sense!!

Want to be able to turn both sides on/off at once with only one footswitch!

Or more seriously, just disconnect the switch for one, connect the output of the first effect directly into the second effect, then treat them as one pedal, and use your favourite bypass scheme (true bypass, Millenium bypass, buffered bypass, etc.) to bypass the whole lot...

Sorry, had nothing but tissue at home, so I drew on it. Left side is switch 1/master bypass switch, and right side is switch 2, if it wasn't clear.
