Hello, I got the Tremulus Lune PCB from Small Bear. Here is the layout on Tonepad.com: http://www.tonepad.com/getFile.asp?id=84

As you can see, the pot wiring descriptions are, well, incomplete. There are two pots shown in series for "Speed". I assume from the schematic that the second pot is for the "fine" setting. I'd like to drop the fine pot and wire with a symmetry pot. I've seen the instructions for doing so here:
http://commonsound.org/tremulus/symmetry.pdf

That diagram shows wiring with a fine pot and it assumes there are solder points on the PCB for the fine pot. My PCB only has solder points for the "Speed" pot.

My questions:
1. With the Tonepad PCB how would you wire the speed and symmetry pots?
2. What pot values would you use?
3. Is the symmetry mod even worth using? I hate wiring pots so if the mod is not worthwhile, I'm happy to just stick with 4.

Thanks

Whoops, just found this thread:

But I'll still ask: Is the symmetry mod worth it? Does it add a lot of versatility to the sounds?

In case anyone out there is reading, here is the symmetry pot mod:

Can I do this with a DPDT? I'm thinking an on-off-on so that I have diodes on lugs 1-2 and 5-6, so when the switch is engaged it either ramps down or up and in the off position, there is no ramp engaged? I think a switch would be more useful than a pot, because it seems like in-between values would be too subtle to detect.

i.e. wire the DPDT like this:

               o--|<--o
Speed 2--o---------o--Speed 3
               o-->|--o

You only need a single pole, on/off/on. You hook it up exactly like the pot.
