Hey All,

A few months ago I shared some initial designs for my FX development board and I wanted to share that the project has gone live on Crowd Supply!

You can check it out here: https://www.crowdsupply.com/macrofab-inc/fx-development-board

For those who have not seen the project before, the FX dev board is an audio circuit prototyping platform that includes a ton of useful items such as jacks, pots, and power supplys to make designing easy.

Thanks for checking it out. Let me know what you guys think.

If you pass your break-even point on orders, are you planning to make any extras for sale later?

At the moment we plan to just build the number that are ordered through the crowd funding campaign.

We have made all of the design files available on the MacroFab github account in case someone would like to build one in the future however, the cost to build one would be more than is offered on the crowd supply campaign.

I just finished a tubescreamer clone using some PCB templates that I cooked up. I like the options that mammoth electronics offers for their pre-drilled enclosures. This tubescreamer was built in one of their 125B enclosures.

I am not really a fan of running wires in pedals so I went with pcb mounted jacks, pots, and 3pdt switch. The 3pdt is actually on a separate small daughter board that is connected to the main board with a 2x3 pin header connector. The only wires in the box are the 9v battery connector and the three wires from the DC jack to the PCB.

I have the templates available for download here if anyone is interested:

Right now the templates are available for diptrace but I will release Eagle files soon.

I made video update that talks about how to use some of the features a bit more on the FX dev board.
